Inside Sales Engineer/Manager
Bolton
£35,000 - £45,000
  
The business are leaders within their field and continue to grow year on year. They are looking for a drive and focused inside sales manager to going the team.
  
Long term, if you are successful in the role you will have the opportunity to be promoted to Director level.
  
Responsibility
  
  • Act as first point of contact & provide all necessary commercial & technical support to customers
  • Prepare & send accurate, well-presented quotations
  • Work closely with the Sales Director & others to build strong customer relationships
  • Raise drawing requests to create GA’s and BoMs for assemblies
  • Obtain decontamination certificates for equipment
  • Specify the appropriate level of PPE to ensure that equipment will be handled safely
  • Obtain application details and service history for equipment
  • Create tear down job packs for equipment, incorporating all drawings, check lists & information to enable mechanical technicians to strip, assess and create inspection reports
  • Monitor Enquiry/Receiving Acknowledgement and Quotation responses
  • Liaise with Production Manager & Engineers to agree prioritisation of their activities
  • Liaise with senior management as required to agree pricing for unusual/large quotations
  • Check that the Mechanical Technicians have planned each repair job correctly
  
Skills and Experience
  
  • Detailed mechanical applications experience and expertise
  • Knowledge & experience of servicing rotating equipment
  • IT literate & fully conversant with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Commercial acumen and experience in preparation of quotations
  • Engineering knowledge – either degree qualified engineer or lesser academic engineering qualifications just as acceptable with directly relevant experience
  • Significant customer facing/service experience
  • Continuous improvement/ proactive approach
  • Strong administrative skills/accuracy
