Delve are a boutique search & selection business. At present we are working with a global business in their search for top sales talent.
The company are long established and sit within the medical device sector. Backed by an American group there has been a stack of investment meaning that the business is now seeing significant sales growth throughout the EMEA region.
They are searching for someone who has experience of working within medical device, analytical equipment or even some form of process machinery sales role. The ideal candidate will be bright, articulate and comfortable selling to government institutes, universities and associated research organisations - typically your point of contact would be lab managers or above.
The equipment is niche and offers a great selling opportunity - but here's the key - you wont actually feel like you are selling. This business want someone who can help clients, nurture them, develop them and ultimately increase spend through adding value. An example of this is supporting your target client base through bids and tenders for grant money, helping them to secure the funding they need. The clients are already mapped out and some are already spending good chunks of money, a typical order value will range from €500k - €2.5 million. It's real low volume high value stuff.
I know what you're thinking - where's the catch? Well, no business is perfect. And neither is this one. The EMEA region has an underperforming agent/distribution network (they think), so this would need to be addressed pretty quickly by you. As a result of the region you will be travelling roughly 60% of the time and that will be mostly overseas.
For your effort and hard work you can expect to be part of a strong family feel company. You will receive a competitive salary and between €10k-€15k in bonus. You will have specialist training with a niche field and ultimately become an expert of their equipment, receive a base salary of €80,000 - €105,000 depending on your experience and a pretty decent stack of other benefits. Work from home is no problem, especially if candidates are based outside of the region, however initial training will need to be conducted so flexibility is required.
So, if you want to sell without selling, in a market that has only one direct competitor, where you can manage your agents to set meetings up for you and earn a good base salary and bonus in return then you could start 2020 off with a real bang!
