Group Technical Manager

  • Circa £50- 70k Basic + Package

  • Managing team of design engineers (3 locations)

  • Liverpool

  • Fast Growing Engineering/ Manufacturing Business

We are looking to hire a technical manager for a fast-growing and dynamic business. The company is an equipment manufacturing business looking to expand their capability in terms of product and reducing lead times. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious manager to put their own stamp on a growing business.

The role will involve leading and managing an engineering team (design) across predominantly two locations in the North West. The challenge is to for this person to be able to motivate and lead the team into improving their processes, standardisation of product to ensure target lead times are met. There is a mix of experiences in the team with some bright and capable engineers.

We are looking for in individual who is: -

  • Degree qualified engineer.

  • Man-manager who is capable of leading a design (mechanical) team.

  • Skills in standardising product range, project management and working to deadlines.

  • Excellent communicator, good coach, and leader of teams.

  • Excellent, clear and confident written skills, presentation skills and report writing

  • Ability to advise, negotiate and influence at all levels

  • Effective skills in terms of performance management, teamwork, motivation, delegation, and discipline are essential

  • Self-motivated and flexible approach to the role

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff

  • Good decision-making skills
